Why Not the 2004 GMC Envoy?

Reliability & durability

I have spent over $2000.00 in PARTS and did the repairs myself! It has 73K miles and I have had it since 17K miles. I will NEVER buy another GM due to this one. Factory says, "OUT of warranty..."

Materials & workmanship

Poor quality OEM Parts used on the envoy. Water pump, Fan clutch and continually setting SES codes for AIR System. Replaced the interior comfort thermostat (MADE IN MEXICO) twice at $80 and I did the repair myself! Not very reliable.

Powertrain performance

The engine is a re-make of the old reliable 250CI inline 6 we all loved and was reliable. This redesigned model has NO POWER to be rater at 275 HP. In real world numbers it has about 160 HP and no seat of the pants HP Torque! The Taco has 2X power!

Past personal experience

I have spent over $2000.00 in parts alone. Did all repairs myself or it would have cost more than 2X that amount. It is showing a SES Code now for the AIR system. GM has lost it! If they do not improve and catch up with Toyota I will not buy another GM
