Terrific; my wife loves her 2015 Accord EXL Much better vehicle than the 2013 it replaced. Absolutely no problems with only routine maintenence in the 45k it's been driven and it will be replaced by a duplicate 2017 this fall.
I heartily recommend this vehicle or a variant to anyone who needs a comfortable, reliable, economical and non demanding larger car.

My 2013 EX has low miles so I cannot comment on CVT reliability. The performance of the CVT is outstanding. It does not suffer from the "rubber band" effect reported for CVTs from other car maker, along with high engine noise due to high engine revs before performance kicks in.

Upshifting is very smooth. Downshift response if you hit the gas is instantaneous, better than any automatic I ever had previously. RPMs always seem to be in a logical place for the load and the desired acceleration.

There is no transmission fluid dipstick so you cannot check transmission fluid level yourself. This may be related to the need to keep the CVT's internal environment pristine. Honda's CVTs are built in a clean room type environment to preclue introduction of particulate contamination during key manufacturing steps. Here is an excerpt from a Honda site from a few years ago about building CVT manufacturing capability at their Ohio facitlities: "Honda started with about 60 employees on the line a day and are slowly ramping it up to a goal of 1,250 employees on the line a day. There are currently 360 employees daily on the CVT line. The new production line was made using many ergonomically based studies, making robots in the plant both state-of-the-art and user friendly. The addition also features "clean rooms" in and out of the main area. When questioned on the reason behind them, Fagan explained the importance of cleanliness around the new transmissions. Some pieces of the new products have only a 20-micron clearance. In relation, a thick piece of hair is about 40 microns."

The combination of the CVT with the direct injection 4 cylinder engine provides a nice combination of performance and gas mileage.

I have 20,000 miles on my 2013 and so far I am very happy with the CVT transmission. When the car was new I did notice some shutter on cold startup but they went away after just a few thousand miles. I love the fact that there is really no shifts that you can feel and it is so very smooth. Fuel milegae is fantastic and I average around 30 mpg in all around driving. I have gotten as much as 40 mpg on a trip. You will notice that when you let off the gas pedal the car will just coast for the longest time. The transmission is not acting as a brake which you normally feel with a standard automatic. The transmission does have a plug on the trans but it is not a dipstick but a fill plug. The car must be on a lift to check the level. There is a check bolt that needs to be removed to check the CVT fluid level, the procedure is similar to checking a manual transmission fluid level. The performace of the tranmission is first rate. The only negative I have about this transmission is that every once in awhile when I first start the car if you immediately put it in reverse if seems to hesitate. If you let it run in park for 5 seconds it never does this. All in all I love this transmission and this Honda.

Almost 40k miles on our 2013 Accord with zero issues. Honda has one of the best CVTs and I'm not a faithful Honda owner (have 2 Mazdas). This was our first CVT and I really liked how it didn't jerk like the typical automatic tranny. It would be hard going back to a non-CVT. The only gripe would be coming to a stop fairly fast where it gives you a downshift feeling that seems a bit odd just before stopping.
