Visited the showroom today. Looks like the lane alerts are fairly std equipment on all models. I have driven several cars with different implementations. Prefer the lights to audible. Good safety feature especially with all the distracted driving going on. Complexity is increasing with the drive to efficiency. Sensors are inevitable, and in Honda they are fairly reliable, or at least in my 9 year old civic hybrid. At some point it's just adding price and complexity. It makes more sense to move up to electric, dump gas and go from hundreds of sub systems to three or four and multiply by 4 fold your gross efficiency.

Didn't quite follow your last comment. I took his question to be: do the lane alerts work? How well do other similar warning features work? Not many reviews cover that stuff. The reviews I have read tend to say all these features are buggy, annoying, etc.
