Upholstery stains so easily!

Ask the People Who Own One:

2013 - 2015 Honda Civic
jwebster

I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill, but my 2015 Honda Civic with grey cloth upholstery is so unattractive in the compartment for the simple reason that anything, everything, stains it! A drop of water from the rain leaves a stain on the seat! Spoke to a woman at the auto detailing shop who says many manufacturers are using cheaper fabric, and protective coating wears off very easily. She was very sympathetic, and said it's not only Honda.
I am generally satisfied with the vehicle (bought it one year ago with 28, 000 miles) but the stains are very noticeable and unsightly. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks. J

There is one product on the market which can help prevent these kind of stains that I have used with success. It is scotchguard by 3M. They made it for this very reason, but you have to apply it regularly to keep the seat cushions protected. It works fairly well but is not perfect - and there are no better products on the market that I know of.

Don't take my word for it. Go to the 3M website and look at the over 180 postitive responses on this product. Best of luck.
