Why the 2008 Honda Fit?

Cargo capacity

The interior is very well engineered in terms of use of space, rear seats fold low into the floor in several clever configurations allowing for outstanding flexibility for carrying lots of cargo of varying shapes and sizes.

Fuel economy

Driven aggressively it still returns over 30 mpg. Driven conservatively it will deliver 37-38 mpg on the highway.

Materials & workmanship

There is a lot of attention to detail and evidence of sound engineering throughout the car. Engine compartment is neatly organized. Material quality is excellent for a car at this price. No glaring evidence of cost cutting anywhere, amazing for a $15k car

Why Not the 2008 Honda Fit?

Quietness

Road and tire noise are a bit intrusive. Not much of an issue unless you are on a long drive on a concrete or rougher highway surface, in which case the roar of the tires on the road becomes tiring after a while.

Front seat support & comfort

The seats are reasonably comfortable but there is insufficient lumbar support. If you are middle-aged or older and have lower back trouble you may be uncomfortable on drives over 1-2 hours. There is no height adjustment for the drivers seat.
