I did look through the owners manual and it did not have a maint schedule. If I would have seen that it may have triggered my mind to change the differential fluid. Honda recommends changing the differential after the first 15000 miles and then every 30000 after that. Well I didn’t change it until 90000. Oops. That cost me. A used differential will cost me $850 parts and labor at this great shop in Charlotte. A new one from Honda cost $4200. Well lesson learned. Won’t do that again.

The engine varies cylinders based on driving demands but the number 3 cylinder is always firing. I was getting an error code and it was due to the 3rd cylinder spark plug. The car was misfiring like crazy and the error code pointed to the spark plugs amongst other things. Of course the number 3 cylinder plug is the hardest to get to. My mechanic gave me a good price to replace the set so I decided to let him do it! I got over 100K miles on the originals so I think that was pretty good!
