TrueDelta Reviews the Seat Room and Comfort of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra GT

2012 Hyundai Elantra GT Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
YearComment
2013 In Europe, the Hyundai i30 is offered in two lengths, a hatch and an estate (the Queen's English for "wagon"). With the Elantra Touring, we got the estate. Perhaps because not enough people bought an Elantra Touring, Hyundai decided we'd readily trade functionality for styling. So with the Elantra GT we get the hatchback. Compared to the Elantra Touring, the Elantra GT's combined legroom shrinks by over three inches and its cargo volume drops from 65 to 51 cubic feet. The rear seat remains roomier than those in the Ford and Mazda and, owing to a healthy height off the floor, more comfortable than most, but adults no longer have room to stretch. Cargo volume is competitive with the other hatches but no longer rivals that of compact crossovers. see full Hyundai Elantra GT review

2012 Hyundai Elantra GT Seat Room and Comfort: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2013 4dr Hatch 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Room enough for up to 6 foot adults. see full Hyundai Elantra GT review
2013 4dr Hatch 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
A comfortable ride. We drove over 500 miles each way on spring break and had no complaints. see full Hyundai Elantra GT review
2013 4dr Hatch 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed manual FWD
Coming from a Volvo the seats are firm in comparison. They aren't the hard pans Honda seems to favor though with good side bolsters, quality cloth that should wear well and decent lumbar support(not adjustable in base). Headrests are adjustable for vertical movement but not forward or back. Driving & Visibility see full Hyundai Elantra GT review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Seat Room and Comfort of the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Seat Room and Comfort: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2008 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
Too stiff and too upright with no adjustments see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
2008 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
Adults do not fit well in the back seat comfortably, and the rear access doors, while a cool design, lack functionality(no handle to release the door except on the inside) see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
2007 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6
6-speed manual AWD w/low range
Cramped rear seating - putting 3 people back there would be really pushing it. The only bonus is that the rear seats fold down flat (I love that). see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
2007 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
Rear suicide doors are cool - unless you have to use them. Easier than no door, but hard to access for adults or kid seats. Really a 2 person back seat, 3 is not good. Rear seat visibility is poor, front view blocked and side posts take out side view. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review

5-speed automatic RWD
too small see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
2007 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6

Back seat is not built to have adults riding there. May be ok for children but is difficult to put a child seat in the rear as well. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
2007 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
