Reviewed: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

2dr Coupe turbocharged 210hp 2.0L I4 6-speed manual RWD

Why the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe?

Exterior styling

Probably the best looking coupe on the market today. Stunning side-profile, fantastic looking wheels

Handling

Very precise, steering wheel gives alot of feedback. Terrific road feel.

Front seat support & comfort

Very comfortable front seats.

Audio & nav systems

9 speaker system sounds great, plus is packed with features...satellite radio , mp3, wma, ipod support, auxiliary jack.

Fuel economy

Very good, better than a Rx-8, not as good as a Civic Si.

Why Not the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe?

Powertrain performance

2.0T engine is lethargic in higher revs, 6-speed manual gearbox is a bit vague.

Interior styling

Dashboard material is a little cheap looking, and the silver trim looks and feels cheap.

Ride smoothness

On the track models the suspension is sometimes very comfortable, then can be bone-jarring hard. Both a Civic Si or Mazda Rx-8 soak up bumps and bad pavement much better.

Rear seat room & comfort

Rear seat room is horrble for a car this long, a RX-8 that is almost 10 inches shorter can easily fit people in the back better. Headroom is non-existent.

Controls and instruments

Steering wheel buttons are not very comfortable, the volume control for instance, is not that easy to push.
