Car wouldn't start. New battery did not solve the issue. Turned out to be an unusual electrical problem requiring a part that had to be ordered. So car stayed in the shop for a few days until part arrived. Then easily, but expensively, fixed.

(Oops... see elsewhere.) Replaced the A/C compressor... bought used online for $280. Cooling system. A persistent small leak in the radiator somewhere near it's center right side. Replaced radiator with a premium one bought online. Usually a such a repair is easy... just take off a bit of shielding on the top, a few screws and lift out the rad. BUT with the EX35, we had to get at everything from the front... remove the entire front grill, cross bars, remove the A/C lines and evaporator TOO! (had the CFCs / Freon captured by my mechanic for $C45 (friendly to the environment!). Both the A/C compressor from last year and the radiator are working fine after many months. Have to recharge the A/C soon... summer is coming. Happy I have the evac pump, gauges and freon already.

C $210
Compressor is noisy. After the radiator leak/replacement in December, we didn't recharge the AC... with the super cold weather it would be hard to get reliable gauge readings (our shop is quite cold). The evacuation for moisture and recharge with the gauges went well,.. Temp. dropped from 22°C to 8°C. But the compressor is a little noisy. Found it difficult to determine how much AC Compressor oil was in the system (wonder if the little cotton analyzers are accurate?). I suspect it needs more oil. I'll update the result.

C $325
Replaced both front strut assembly with ones off a low mileage vehicle. I'd tried buy the whole "assembly" new, but they didn't seem them that way. So I then attempted to just to change the shocks, but when compressing the springs to remove the top nut, the spring warped sideways. A better, and safer option was to get the used entire assembly.

C $5800
Roadside Assistance put DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) into gas tank when I ran out of gas on the road. Urea crystals everywhere in the fuel system. They paid the CDN $5800 to flush tank, 2 new fuel level sensors, new fuel lines and all new injectors. NOT THE FAULT OF THE INFINITI... and OOPS by a young tow truck operator.

C $240
Fuel Gauge Malfunction. Changed a computer module on top of the radio that controls LOTS of things like the AC/Heat system, airbags, locks, remote etc. The sensors in the gas tank were good. The "self-check" of the instrument panel passed. followed the wiring from gas tank to that white module with 3 (?) plugs with multiple wires on top of the radio. Relatively easy access... but was really hard and unbelievable to diagnose !
