I got a great deal on this car second hand. Have had no problems to speak of and I drive it a lot. I have taken it cross country and drive it everyday.

I find this car to be very reliable. I drove it cross country without problems. It doesn't have much pick up and I have concerns how it might handle mountain driving, since what litle I have done seems to stress the car. I haven't used the 4 wheel systme yet- weather here doesn't require it. My only complaints is that the interior seems cheap- one side of trim on passenger seat is falling off. I'm used to the Cherokee 6 cylinder; my last car which had more features than this one. I miss not having a navigation system in the car. If it has one, I haven't found it yer.
Why Not the 2008 Jeep Patriot?
not a quiet car. These newer models seem to be made of plastic. Even the bumpers.

not much room but adequate for size of car.
Conclusion
MY only issue is that it feels like I downgraded from my 2004 Grand Cherokee. It has less bells abd whistles than my older jeep. I'm not crazy about all then plastic in the interior or having plastic bumpers.
