| 2014 | The Impala has an inch or two more rear legroom than the Cadenza, but this difference is much like that between a pool that is 12 feet deep and one that is 15. All of these sedans have more rear legroom than all but the tallest passengers will need. The Cadenza more than makes up for this trivial difference in quantity with a rear seat cushion that is more comfortably shaped and positioned than that in the Impala, and cushier than the overly firm park bench in the Avalon. The Azera's rear seat is similar, though. If you are carrying tall passengers in back, headroom will be a factor long before legroom will. None of these cars have an abundance of it. When both the Cadenza and the Impala are fitted with panoramic sunroofs the Impala has about a half-inch more. I was amazed at how small the back seat is in this car. Really no bigger than a compact sedan, eg Civic or Corolla. I can't fit my 3 kids (in car seats) back there, and feel bad when co-workers pile in to go to lunch. Surprisingly small for a vehicle this size, and marketed as a "family car." If you plan to put adults or 3 kids back there regularly, look at the '10 or newer (or at something else -- the rear seat in my co-worker's Accord is far bigger and more comfortable). see full Subaru Outback review |

Too short! I am 6ft tall and the front passenger seat leaves me feeling very cramped. Drivers position is better. Seats also too narrow. Maybe plenty of room for skinny folks, but not for us folks that are large boned :-) see full Subaru Outback review |
