intermittent failure to start

Ask the People Who Own One:

2014 - 2015 Kia Sorento
KTrist

MY 2014 Kia Sorento EX V6 has recently begun to randomly fail to start. I took it in to Kia as it is under warranty but of course they can\'t get it to repeat the behavior. In all my research the inhibitor switch keeps popping up as the possible culprit.

I do have a work around to get it started but don\'t know how long that will work. I can push the start button twice till all the dash lights illuminate put my foot on the brake, which isn\'t too mashable, pull it out of park and back in again, push the start button and it starts. Also, all lights, windows, alarm, lock/unlock works.

Finally got communication from the dealer except we\'ve had to escalate the situation and get the service manager involved because our service advisor wasn\'t communicating with us. He stated yesterday that they are waiting on a range switch that they will install while the SA called a few minute later and stated they were changing the inhibitor switch. In all my research the range switch has never been mentioned and when I looked it up it has to do with cars that are stalling not cars that won\'t start at all.

So, I just want to know if anyone out there with a 2014 V6 A/T has had this same issue?
