As I had it into the shop for other routine maintenance I asked that they also replace the lightbulb and take a look at the socket. Apparently Sorentos are notorious for this particular problem, they looked made an adjustment and now it's a waiting game to see how long the bulb lasts. Rear passenger door [handle] broke/snapped off while being opened, needed to be replaced. A few parts were replaced though the handle itself was able to be reused, it was the only piece (saved $112 off the repair bill!) as Kia had redesigned the assembly since my Sorento was manufactured.
