Dealer practices

Whenever the car is in for any kind of service, I am given a new Lexus (ES or RX) to drive for the day. When I owned my two Mercedes Benzs, owners were given a Ford Taurus each time.

Warranty, maintenance cost

LExus adds 3 years or 100,000 to the CPO car, and they mean bumper-to-bumper, no deductible warranty repairs.

Cargo capacity

Trunk capacity is down from 20 (2004) to 18 cubic feet, and towing is not recommended.

These are expensive cars to buy.
