Powertrain performance

The 3.7 L we had in our 2011 MKX and again in our 2015 MKX was/is flawless with plenty of power. No need for the 2.7 L Ecoboost, if pickup and go is important.

Interior styling

As usual with Ford/Lincolns, the controls and the Navigation screen are to low in the IP and should be higher.

Audio & nav systems

The problem i have with the navigation system is: 1. When i punch in a adress, it takes me there one way, and on the return trip, it takes me another way. 2. Still no setting to tell it to take the same way back that i came.

Reliability & durability

This 2015 MKX had several Quality issues from day one. Poor exterior molding fits. Black fuzz from inside the center council and the glove compartment getting on everything, including the hand if i reach inside it. R.F. Door fit and wind noise. Rear headrest could not be removed. The engine had a noise from day one and has been out of the vehicle for 5 weeks so far, waiting for parts.

3.7 L engine has abnormal noise each dat at first startup. Having the left head replaced, whenever all the parts arrive......

Past personal experience

Can not recomment this vehicle! Maybe the 2016's fair better then previous model years, but it's to early to tell. They are build in Oakvill, Ontario where they seem to have some Quality control issues. Maybe it's because they are real busy and dont have time for quality, or maybe management needs to be replaced.
