Shift to park message in error, faulty shifter. Ford requires a linkage adjustment before replacement, of course car dies after work, your tired, they send the wrong tow truck, replaced shifter 2 days later
Major transmission malfunction-initially replaced 2 sensors and cleared codes. Problem not fixed-returned to owner and problem came back much worse. Back to dealer again...kept 15 days to test & install new wiring harness, valve body, and solenoids.
Axle Repairs. Removed intermediate shaft & both input shaft seals. Found damage to internal tubing of PTU assembly. Therefore leak. Replaced both seals at right side of unit and installed new shaft deflector. Not certain if this will fix.

Awful burning smell while driving caused by leaking right front axle seal. Technician found a grease leak in left front axle boot, had to order new axle Replaced left front axle that was ordered one week earlier
Replacement of PTU and inner right front axle and seal due to leak.
Power Take off fluid/seal leak,(PTO) which has been common on AWD vehicles. Fluid leak causes burning smell inside vehicle. Service completed within 2 hours, seems OK now.
Leaking transfer case seal. Replaced under warranty in less than 3 hours.
It was a disconcerting problem for a car that is 11 months old. Backing out of garage the reverse conked out. Had to be towed to dealer. After some foot-dragging they finally paid for rental car. Engine runs a bit sluggish since, next appointmt: 1 month.

Trans would not fully engage reverse. Lurched into rev. with violent thud when finally engaged. First reported several months ago. Shop performed diagnostics and made adjustments to electronic controls at that time. Replaced trans this time.
ball bearings in rear axle were making noise while driving, the assembly had to be replaced.
