Why the 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata?

Handling

The car is so light that it responds very quickly. It is eager to play. Overall it is fun no matter what speed you are running at.

Driving position & visibility

Unlike some small cars, there is room to stretch your feet and splay your knees out a bit. There is very good lumbar support which my bad back appreciates. Overall the setup is very comfortable and smart.

Exterior styling

It is sporty and unique

Powertrain performance

Pedal response is immediate, the transmission is spaced about right, and the shifter is smooth but still knotchy enough to make it very fun and engaging. Stop and go traffic is actually fun. The clutch is also just right in terms of feel and effort.

Audio & nav systems

The Bose AudioPilot system is nice. We do wish there was a bit more richness to it, but overall the system is well suited to cruising.
