2008 Mazda Mazda3 Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by randallhank

Handling
Simply better than every other car at this price range, and many above it.
Interior styling
Simple, looks great, the controls are intelligently placed, the materials are top notch, the seats are more comfortable and offer better support than other cars in its class, the "little" features like cupholders are all nice, the glovebox is huge.
Feature availability
Again, the best standard feature packages available. Most of the better features are included with the S level trim which is standard on the 5-door. And many available add-ons for a car in this price range.
Powertrain performance
Nice pick up, especially on the low end. Never any trouble pulling away from a stop, or merging onto the highway. Can drive out of trouble when needed.
Fuel economy
I wish it was better. I get about 23MPG in the city and 27 combined city/highway.
Quietness
A bit noisy, especially with the 17" tires. Same with wind noise. The standard 6 speaker radio, though above average, has trouble overcoming the noise on the highway.
Rear seat room & comfort
Well, when the front seats are back, there is little leg room in the back seat -- to be expected in a compact. But, the rear seats are very comfortable and can handle a wider person.
Discounts & incentives
Not much going on here, but the value was there from the start, so this is actually a positive.
