Why the 2010 Mazda Mazda3?

Handling

It is quick on its reflexes - what you input immidietely is executed. In winding roads it is very presise compared to other cars I have driven (in this class). Very short turning radius - great for parking in tight spaces.

Powertrain performance

Again, it reacts quickly. It is not that quick imperically, but there is plenty of torque in real world driving conditions (when RPMs are below 3000).

Safety & braking

It is hard to put into words, but you have a good feel (?) on how the brakes perform, and they feel solid and able to stop well in an extreme condition - though I have never encountered one. While everyday driving, they are very, very enjoyable to operate

Brand reputation & image

I seem to like almost all the cars they produce. Sporty ones (mx-5, rx-8) and not so sporty ones (CX suvs, mazda6). Besides, Zoom-Zoom!

Feature availability

Theyy are plenty. Go over the models, their pricing, and be sure to compare with others.

Why Not the 2010 Mazda Mazda3?

Fuel economy

It sucks (literally). Slightly better than 25 mpg overall (I am driving one with a bigger engine). The 3 i variant would do better without much sacrafaces. But the rating is still below Civics and Corollas of the world.

Quietness

When driving on dirty roads you can well hear the rocks hitting the car from the tires. They could have used some more sound isolation.

Depreciation

Nothing really, I had to pick something for survey.

Reliability & durability

According to various sources it is not as good as Honda/Toyota. I had 0 problems with the 3. In equal time and distance the Corrola had given me some light headache though.
