2004 Mazda Mazda6 Real Gas Mileage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2004 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4
4-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Rarely got out of the mid-20s, even on long road trips by myself. I expected better from a 4-cylinder engine, even in a car this size. Again, my 1994 Honda Accord did better, routinely cracking 30 MPG on road trips. see full Mazda Mazda6 review
2004 4dr Sedan 220-horsepower 3.0L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Not real happy with MPG. I get around 25 on the highway, about the same as my Pontiac Montana I used to own. see full Mazda Mazda6 review
2004 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4
5-speed manual FWD
terrible fuel consumption for the performance, never below 8.5l/100km hwy or 11l city, equal size European or Asian market vehicles use 20-30% less at comparable performance, if you're looking for fuel economy look elsewhere as this is the smallest engine for this car see full Mazda Mazda6 review
2004 4dr Wagon 220-horsepower 3.0L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Poor economy, though almost comparable to other V6. see full Mazda Mazda6 review
