No drivetrain problems at all. This has been a defect free car since we bought it. The handling is fantastic, very Porsche like in that there is a great balance and ease in cornering. We also have Infiniti g37xS and Lexus Rx in our garage and I can say the Mazda 6 is a very impressive car. I suggest getting leather seats if you are considering the 2016 model as the fabric they use traps fibers and is extremely hard to vacuum clean. I have physically scrubbed the lint while vacuuming and it is still hard to get fibers off as they penetrate the seat fabric and stay trapped. Highway gas mileage is 36 of you stay at 70 and use cruise. This is a well built car and terrific value. Stay away from the model with the regeneration feature as it requires a deep cycle battery that costs $300 to replace.

My 2016 Mazda6 Sport Automatic has been faultless after 7300 miles. Fuel mileage has ranged from 25-35 depending on my driving mix and the weight of my foot. I agree with a previous poster re: the fabric seat issue but would still not go with the vinyl in the Touring or the leather in the Grand Touring models---just a personal preference. I would buy this car again and would recommend it to anyone looking at a mid size sedan.

I have a 2016 Mazda 6 touring and have had 0 problems at 9000 miles. I fully recommend this car. Of course driving is so much a matter of personal taste and priorities. If looking, go on a test drive and try out sport mode for passing. It does add enough zoom zoom for my needs and I like the gas mileage overall.

The drivetrain in my 6 has been flawless. My 14' Touring has 28000 miles on it and other than a couple of minor recalls and one rattle (fixed) and a loose door rubber molding nothing has been done to the car except ordinary maintenance. I travel to NYC twice a year by car and have averaged 38-39 mpg on these trips at 70ish with cruise. When you consider this is close to hybrid mileage without any of the additiional expense of a hybrid there is very little that can beat this as a midsize sedan choice.

I have a 2014 and have absolutely no drivetrain problems. The tipin takes a little getting used to but it only took a few weeks to adjust to it. Shifts are perfectly matched to the engine rpm's and it is a seamless. I have 21000+ miles and still enjoy driving this car.
