Oil change. No problem while motor was hot but when parked leaked. Took to another dealer and they said oil drain plug loose. It was tightened but leak continued. Contacted Mazda NA Service Rep because dealer said they'd have to charge to replace oil (car is still 1 year and 12K in warranty). The Mazda Rep contacted dealer and basically told them to fix the problem under warranty. Super nice and customer oriented at the National Level. Problem turned out to be a crimped oil drain washer (it has a lip on the inner ring which was crushed on one side). This allowed the oil to leak when engine was cold but as the motor heated up it expanded the crimp on the metal washer so it did not leak when hot. Very displeased with the 2 dealers on their response to me about the issue. One dealer in Alabama and one in Texas.

Check engine light was thrown. When inspected coolant was very low and car was not producing heat in the Passenger compartment. Mechanic noted that it might be due to TSB 07-007/17. Restored coolant and ran for while, but noted that coolant was going into the heater unit hot and coming back at a much lower temp. Said they're usually a similar temp. He recommended doing a total coolant flush and to monitor the cabin heat in the meantime. Replaced Drive belt and water pump belts. Mechanic noted wear during work on cooling system. Replaced sparkplugs.
