2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by flatblackstrat

Fuel economy
Excellent highway economy for a luxury car.
Materials & workmanship
Everything feels bolted down and solid, like a tank.
Ride smoothness
The car feels very planted to the road, some road noise from the firmer suspension but is to be expected. The cars feels a bit heavy but in a good way.
Controls and instruments
Steering controls are rather easy to use with the speedo mounted LCD screen. Would like to see a button to change CD tracks on the wheel though instead of just on the center stack. 2 phone buttons are also not needed.
Rear seat room & comfort
Not much leg room when compared to other luxury entries. No flat floor so a 3rd passenger in the rear is not possible.
Cargo capacity
The trunk is not very big, and rather difficult for a family to use, stroller and a few bags is all that will fit. Goose neck hinge enclosers on the side take up a lot of room towards the front of the trunk.
Feature availability
The top package which I bought here had no adaptive cruise control, no premium audio, no ipod support without separate dongle, no a2dp streaming, what was available was run of the mill non luxury.
Front seat room
Center console and stack cut into front side leg room, my left leg is always up against the center console.
