I have heard of transmissions going out at 45,000 miles. I wouldn't think this should be happening on a $100,000 car.
Does this happen a lot. I also heard about steering issues with the car pulling to the right that can't be adjusted by Mercedes.
Is that a common thing?

I have a 2011 S550 4 matic with 61,000 miles and have not had any transmission problems or problems with it pulling to the right. I bought the car as a CPO with 15k miles and it has been mostly trouble free.I purchased the extended warranty when I bought it and am covered until August 2018. Only problem has been a bad abs wheel sensor about 5,000 miles ago which was covered under warranty.
