A/C evaporator core replace no start?

I just finished installing an evaporator core in my Altima. However went i went to turn it over to purge the system the engine rolled over and then let go. It sounds like the goddang timing jumped on it!!! It is free spinning as if it has jump time with no compression. I am wondering if maybe it has something to do with the sensor thst is in conjuction with the variable valv timing or if maybe the godang engine rolled back and jumped time. Any input on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
