2009 Nissan Maxima Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by txstang97

Exterior styling
Sleek, sophisticated style. Looks like a grown up Corvette.
Front seat support & comfort
Adjustable everything! Air conditioned driver seat a huge consideration.
Handling
Car feels like it floats down the highway. Superior speed and handling.
Brand reputation & image
Reputation is stellar and everyone who has ever owned one just raved about reliability and performance.
Dealer practices
Dealership sold me a wrecked car, which they fixed in-house, as a new car. Different dealer discovered major problems. Nissan finally replaced car.
Quietness
Road noise is terrible. While on bluetooth, even the sound of changing lanes is heard on the other end.
Fuel economy
City driving is brutal on mpg. If you get 12 mpg you are doing well. Highway miles are great - over 30, so great on trips, stinks for commuting.
Cargo capacity
Trunk is deceptively small for the size of the car. The tiny pass-through from trunk to back seat is a downgrade from 2008 fold down rear seat.
