Reviewed: 2001 Nissan Quest

4dr Minivan 170-horsepower 3.3L V6 4-speed automatic FWD

Why the 2001 Nissan Quest?

Exterior styling

For 00-01 the front has a rather aggressive look to it not unlike the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The rest is typical minivan styling.

Audio & nav systems

The optional 120w CD player system is fantastic, even more so with the optional subwoofer. The steering wheel controls work well.

Rear seat room & comfort

Being exactly in between the size of a caravan and a grand caravan, the leg room is adequate.

Why Not the 2001 Nissan Quest?

Audio & nav systems

The base tape deck is OK but at highway speeds can start to distort at the higher volume levels required to block out road and wind noise

Handling

While the SE and the GLE handle well (especially the SE, it handles amazingly), the GXE handles slightly below average. Body roll is in abundance and rebound can be annoying over bigger potholes

Feature availability

Certain features must be bundled, such as a sunroof and back power windows.
