Unit had issue with vehicle loosing power/accerlation when pulling into traffic.Several times had near rear end collisions when this happened. Nissan cannot replicate issue when they test, and they have had unit many times. The usual responce is we cannot duplicate problem, so there is nothing wrong and to drive the unit. Was told if something does happen its on record. That comment shows Nissan does not care about the safety of the consumer and are willing to bet with your lifeyou will not be in an accident , and if you are then you must prove the vehicle had issues. Good luck with that, since they cannot identify whats wriong with the design. We contacted Nissan several times to take this unit back and dissolve the lease and not hurt our credit score, Nissan consumer affairs opened a claim for arbitration, never contacted us, evenafter we followed up with them several times, and closed the case, without even telling us what- when- where- why. It was to us such an important safety issue we turned the unit back to the dealer, which was on a lease, and took the hit on our credit score as we refused to drive and pay for a lease on a unit unsafe to drive.
At first this unit was fun to drive and had decent fuel mileage but not what I expected. After some time the mileage did finally reach what I was told it would do. DId handle fairly well and was lets say sporty to drive.
The safety concern with the loss of power when driving into traffic out ways everything good with this unit. If they ever determine what is causing this issue , which others have exoerienced andreported to both Nissan and the NHSB, this unit could again be trusted and fun to drive
