US $800 Car would not start. Battery was fine. Intelikey was fine still wouldn't start. Was a problem with the stearing lock which controls the intelikey system. Stearing lock was replaced. Working with Nissan corporate to see about reimbursement...

Rear drum brakes were making a squeaking noise. Took them apart to clean and lube the parts. Noticed that the right cylinder was leaking, so replaced that at the same time. Did a complete flush and bleed of all 4 brakes. No more noise afterward.

ESCL Failure. This is a known problem with the Nissan Cube 2009 group. The Electronic Steering Control Lock was originally replaced under warranty in 2010; this is the second failure in this specific car. The cost was about $2100. I had to have a replacement key fob and paid $280 for this. Additionally, I had the alternator belt replaced. 
34300 mi I noticed a clicking sound when breaking at low speeds. The dealer checked and found no serious problems but cleaned and lubed the mechanism. This eliminated the noise temporarily, but I notice it has returned a few weeks later.
