Why the 2009 Pontiac G8?

Exterior styling

Stryker blue exterior is eye catching and a conversation starter.

Handling

Sport shift mode, and the ability to go zero - 60 in 6 seconds

Ride smoothness

Smooth quite ride. Seats hug your body.

Rear seat room & comfort

Even with front seats completely back, there is enough leg room for rear passengers.

Why Not the 2009 Pontiac G8?

Past personal experience

Camshaft end play on both camshafts is the problem I encountered after 27000 miles. Although it was repaired under warranty, I could expect the same problem in a few years.

Powertrain performance

Only 256 hp which for a full size sedan is not enough to keep up with a 2.0 T 4 cylinder vehicle that has 274 Hp.

Fuel economy

The most MPGs I ever had was 25 and that was all highway driving at about 70.

Reliability & durability

Known camshaft issues and were not addressed until check engine light came on after 27000 miles.
