Why the 2005 Saab 9-2X?

Reliability & durability

I had a old 1988 3 door Subaru standard, got 300k+ punishing miles out of it before a head gasket blew. replaced the gasket and it kept right on. This new Saabaru has 61k miles and nothing has broken yet.

Discounts & incentives

The new car sale clincher was the GM $6000 incentive plus GM s-plan pricing. Total price was almost 2/3rds of MSRP. Amazing bang for the buck!

Handling

Low center of gravity, relatively short chassis, all independent sporty suspension, zero torque steer unlike other powerful front drive cars. Changes direction sharply and quickly.

Exterior styling

What can I say...? with a mild tint on the glass it is a timeless and attractive design. Saab did a great job altering the Subaru Impreza nose.

Why Not the 2005 Saab 9-2X?

Rear seat room & comfort

Cramped rear seat leg room. Rear door opening tight at shoe level. Swooping c-pillar design obstructs outward visibility.

Front seat support & comfort

Lack of any type of lumbar support is very uncomfortable. I opened the seat and installed my own inflatable device...much better now.

Color choices

Well I ran out of niggles so I picked lack of color choices. The car I bought is dessert silver which is subdued but pretty and as a bonus cops never give it a second look.
