2009 4dr SUV 169-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
The XE 4 cylinder appears to get good gas mileage, we are hoping to attain the published mpg. see full Saturn VUE review
2008 4dr SUV 172-horsepower 2.4L I4 Hybrid
4-speed automatic FWD
The book says 26/33 for mileage. Wife gets significantly less in town. I can get 24 to 25. On 1000 mile trip, I got 33, when car was less than 1 year old. Wife gets 20 in town, with short stop and go drive to work. see full Saturn VUE review
2008 4dr SUV 169-horsepower 2.4L I4

With only 1000 miles I am averaging over 24 MPG with a mix of 60% HWY/40% Suburban driving. see full Saturn VUE review

So far fuel economy is not as good as I expected, the car is still pretty new (<5 000 miles). see full Saturn VUE review

I wish the fuel economy was better but I knew what the fuel consumption rating was prior to purchasing the vehicle. It is a large engine (3.6 L) and for its size, a rather heavy vehicle. That weight, however, does add to the safety of the vehicle. see full Saturn VUE review
2008 4dr SUV 169-horsepower 2.4L I4

Could be better, but being a former Ion owner I recognize that the break in process is a bit long and economy may improve over time. Would be nice if it got better fuel economy from the beginning and improved from that point. see full Saturn VUE review
