Very powerful, fast acceleration if needed, responsive.
I spend a good amount of time in an Escalade as well, and the Vue is as smooth and quiet on the highway, slightly harsher on rough roads.
Has a very solid feel to it, I really like the polymer panels that Saturn used to offer. No rattles or mystery noises.
I believe they are honest and straightforward. Helpful with rebates and offers.
