Why the 2006 Scion xA?

Fuel economy

My xA averages about 32 mpg.

Reliability & durability

I have had only one very minor problem with this vehicle. The CEL came on to alert me and the dealer repaired it under warranty with no hassle.

Price or payments

We originally considered buying a Toyota Yaris. The xA is a less expensive, but uses the same motor. Due to the body design, the fuel economy is sightly lower than the Yaris but the xA is a bit roomier.

Why Not the 2006 Scion xA?

Cargo capacity

There is limited storage in the dash area. In addition to the glove box, there are pockets in the doors, a small console between the seats, and a cubby in the dash. But, the dash is sloped. So, even something as small as a book has to go into the back.
