Synchros for 1st and 2nd gear were worn out, making it difficult to shift into gear, especially when cold. Entire transmission was replaced under extended warranty from CPO purchase.
Shifter rattling in 2nd gear. Dealer performed inspection. Regreased all items. Problem persisted. Dealer said Subaru recommends replacing transmission on warranty. Replacement of transmission resolved shifter rattle.
