This is my family's 2nd Subaru, and will be the last. First was a 2005 Legacy GT - handled great, but a little bit small - and lost 2 turbos within 56K miles. Assumed it was a turbo engine sump design flaw and sold the car. Took a chance on a 2011 Forester, and have had several issues so far
AWD system works great in ice and snow
I've been getting higher than expected fuel economy - around 28MPG, mostly highway
So far not impressed with reliability. High oil consumption, loud rumbling noises from engine compartment at 2200-2800 RPM, leaky cam seal.
One of the worst audio systems ever to be put into a vehicle of any sort.
materials quality not very good. Easy scuff hard plastics everywhere.
