My 2014 Outback has 20 or 25 dots of paint chips/rust on the roof.

My 2 1/2 year old Outback does not have that issue. I live in upstate NY (road salt from Nov - Mar) with the usual uncovered loads in dump trucks, etc. The paint is still generally excellent.
Curious what a Subaru service advisor would make of this issue. Let us know.

Regularly waxing and keeping your car clean would help prevent this problem. Talk to the dealer and hurry if it's still under warranty.
