I have an '18 WRX, the clutch has a totally different feel than my "old" '15, very much prefer the '18.
After 5,000 miles the clutch on the '18 is holding up fine despite numerous hard launches at autocross. The '15 had a similar life for 30,000 miles, no clutch problems there either.
