2006 Suzuki Forenza / Reno Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by rossco
Reliability & durability
This car has been 100% reliable for me, knock on wood. I've never done anything besides routine maintenance. The drivetrain is solid if uninteresting. It has been a low cost of ownership Korean mule.
Price or payments
I bought this car during some tough economic times for my family. It was inexpensive but had A/C and four wheel disc brakes.
Rear seat room & comfort
The back seat is comfortable and roomy for a small car.
Warranty, maintenance cost
It has Suzuki's monster warranty.
Fuel economy
It can get up to 31 mpg on highway-only driving. On the mostly short, in-town driving i do, it gets a disappointing 22 mpg.
Materials & workmanship
The quality of the interior materials is not great. The plastics are hard and the switchgear does not feel solid. However, after 5 years only the right passenger air vent direction knob has broken.
The sheet metal is thin and dents easily.
Quietness
The engine gets thrashy as you push the rpm up. Road noise can be tiresome on long trips.
