stripped Head bolts.

nope.. never heard about that issue.. ARP makes after market bolts for it cheap anyway. and a tapper is cheap. so if you need to retap them it should be less than 100.00 bucks..

Search for it on the net and you will see many many complaints about that problem. From what I gather, it's because the expansion rate between the aluminum engine block and the steel bolt are not the same and eventually will cause the stripping, especially when your engine runs hot (or overheat) at some point.

But then people without the problem will not report it and there is no recall on that one so I guess statistically, it's still not a widely spread problem.

It isn't a very common issue given the amount of Camrys sold versus the Camrys affected with the stripped head bolts, but it is the most common problem on 2003s. It is also an expensive one; about $2,300. If you are thinking about buying a 2003, this is definitely not a reason to not buy one. They are very reliable and again, while it is one of the most common issues with the car, the ratio of Camrys affected to Camrys sold is very low.
