Why the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?

Past personal experience

Mixed history with Chrysler, Ford, Honda, and GM products. Previous experiences with Toyota products have all been extremely positive. They just keep going and going.

Powertrain performance

Proven power train also used on 4Runner and Tacoma. Six cylinder was perfect for me. Lots of pep and very responsive.

Handling

Although truck-like, still relatively nimble and it has a tight turning radius. Steering is light to the touch and it handles well on the highway.

Why Not the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?

Fuel economy

Horrendous. Plain and simple. Adding insult to injury, premium fuel is recommended to get top performance.

Driving position & visibility

Although it has plenty of space and visibility upfront, looking behind you is a chore. Door mirrors are too narrow. Using the windshield-mounted rear-view mirror is like looking through a tube. C-Pillars severely compromise shoulder-checks.

Rear seat room & comfort

Cramped rear seating - putting 3 people back there would be really pushing it. The only bonus is that the rear seats fold down flat (I love that).
