Compared to the Explorer it was like Cadilac v.s. a 3/4 ton truck. The Highlander is not sporty, but for 99% of our driving its fine.
both vehicles were quiet, maybe the Highlander a bit more. We were also interested in a Pilot but the noise level was so bad it outweighted all the advantages it might of had.
