Attempted to rectify various rattles in interior trim without success.
Fixed rattles myself.
Squeaking noises from under carpet in driver's footwell. Initially thought to be seat cushion/base. Various pieces of sound insulation under carpet replaced. Warranty covered. Replacement of driver's side outer window lip seal strip. It was damaged for no apparent reason other than poor quality materials when the window was lowered.
Air conditioner was leaking water into the cabin by the passenger's feet. Due to a clogged hose. Easy fix.
The car has a vibration from the dashboard only after the car is warm. I had the car in for this 4 times. I agreed to bring the car back when the weather warms up so they dont need to keep warming up the car to hear the vibration sound.
Center console is loose, dealer said there is a crack and it needs replaced. The part was ordered but I have not yet had time to check the status or go in for repairs. Dealer says it will be covered under warranty. Center console was replaced in mid-May, two months later it still works like brand new. Dealer did a good job with the replacement.
Rust bubbles within paint on the front passenger door. Bad steel according to the shop. It was just past warranty for rust repairs.dealer would not help. The rust was so bad that it caused holes right through the steel.
Repaired cracking noises in dash and cluster
Dealer noticed a scratch on the left rear bumper when the Yaris was washed after transport.Arrangements were made for me to bring the Yaris in to have the bumper skin replaced. A RAV4 was given to me to drive during the fix. Good service.
Gauge cluster cover rattling due to being held in place by plastic clips.
Window trim on driver's front door snapped - poor design. Front driver's fender was not aligned properly at delivery - did not make an issue of it, but door-to-fender gap was small. Eventually, fender moved-in to rub paint. Dealer refuses to repair and blames owner for fault (including future rust from scraping)
Driver's side fender out of alignment by approximately 3/4" inch. Suspect 'play' caused rough regional roads.
A/C condensate tube was clogged with dirt and leaves. Was leaking water on the floor. Used wire and shop vac to clean tube.
Noise coming from the center stack where the heating controls are.
It's likely the plastics rubbing on each other, I'm told.
If I apply pressure of the plastic, the noise stops.
At this point, I'm really annoyed they haven't been able to solve it yet.
Personally replaced gas struts on hatchback door. Originals were balky and squeaked badly.
