2011 Volkswagen Jetta Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr Sedan turbocharged 140hp 2.0L I4 Diesel
6-speed manual FWD
I drive 80 miles a day, 70/30 highway/city. I average 39 mpg per tank driving at an average 75 mph on highway. My normal range before I fill up is about 530 miles according to the trip computer, and there is still more than an 8th of tank left. see full Volkswagen Jetta review
2011 4dr Sedan 115-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
While rated at only 32 MPG highway, I drove the Jetta roundtrip from Bakersfield, CA to Las Vegas, NV (300 miles each way, over 3 mountain passes) and the car returned 37 MPG at a cruising speed of 80 MPH. see full Volkswagen Jetta review
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 140hp 2.0L I4 Diesel
6-speed automated manual FWD
They say 30/42 MPG, I have NEVER seen below 34 mpg and that was trying to burn some fuel. Our first trip was to the Tri-state area in West NC. Hand calculated to 46.3mpg. We constantly get 42-43mpg on the highway, and 37-39 around town, which is 30mph driving. My wife and I both drive fast on the highway, On average the Cruise control is set between 75-85 (tends to be on the higher side). see full Volkswagen Jetta review
