2007 Acura TL Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Transmission dying at 79,000 miles. by Molly

The transmission is dying at 79,000 miles. Acura repeatedly refused to service the transmission while under warranty because they couldn't duplicate the problem. Now that it's out of warranty and the problem is constant, they refuse to offer any help.
Love everything else about the car, but a transmission in a $32,000 car should last more than 79,000 miles. It also has an electrical problem.
Stay away from Acura TLs. Acura lost a class action lawsuit over the 2nd generation TL. They claimed they fixed the problem in the 3rd generation, but my experience shows this is not true.
