Based upon crash tests and insurance data Audi is making some of the safest cars on the road. The brakes could stop time.
The handling is crisp and reacts better than any car I test drove including a Lexus, Infiniti, Lincoln, and Acura. Also, the car has a great turning circle which I think is more important than some might give it credit for.
The interior--the leather, seat controls, ergonomics--were all solid.
The car, though a 4-door sedan, behaves like a sports car in acceleration from stops and from low speeds to high speeds.
An A4 with a V6 and automatic transmission can get pricey but Audi throws in enough standard features to make it worthwhile.
