Why the 2007 Audi RS4?

Powertrain performance

The incredibly high revving beefy V8 provides for an amazing "throw you back in your seat" feeling even at low RPMs but ESPECIALLY at high RPMs.

Handling

Despite DRC issues being very widely known since the RS6, it still performs very admirably for normal and aggressive driving.

Interior styling

Simple, elegant, ergonomic, very nicely crafted and almost no rattles. I say almost no rattles because due to the suspension being slightly stiffer than the average car its bound to have SOME rattles.

Why Not the 2007 Audi RS4?

Ride smoothness

This car was built for the track and thus its suspension is a bit on the rough side for the average driver. It is NOT meant to be an extremely comfortable ride but the handling prowess makes up for it.

Quietness

A highly tuned V8 engine means this thing is not exactly quiet. In cabin noise is above other cars but not to the point that it drowns out the radio. A little more sound dampening material would have been perfect.

Insurance cost

I dont have an issue with the insurance but the depreciation is like getting repeatedly punched in the face. The current bad economy is not helping but its just a known fact that higher end cars (unless a collector) lose significant value second hand.
