2002 Audi A6 / S6 Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by jdscorp

Ride smoothness
Most of the time, the ride feels very smooth like that of a full-size luxury cruiser. However, when pushed the car can really handle incredibly well, especially in rain and snow.
Materials & workmanship
The car is built using only high-quality materials and is extremely well-made. Audi even has a lifetime rust warranty on the body of the car. Regardless of its age or warranty status, Audi will repair/replace ANY rusted body panels at their expense.
Feature availability
There is a myriad of choices when it comes to features. Some of my favorite features include front & rear heated seats, automatic adjustment of the passenger mirror when placed in reverse (so you can see the curb), Bose stereo, & seat/temperature memory.
Price or payments
It can be quite expensive, though a used A6 over 5 years old will drop in price dramatically and become an excellent deal.
Dealer practices
Among the Audi enthusiast community, the dealership is commonly referred to as the "stealership" due to their history of overpriced repairs and service fees.
Exterior styling
The exteriors styling is very understated, which is good in a lot of ways but for some of the more performance-oriented models (like the 2.7T turbo A6) it would be nice to add a few visual cues to the performance under the hood.
Fuel economy
For a car that requires 91+ octane, it would be nice if it got better gas mileage in city driving (around 16-18 mpg). The mileage on the highway is much better (up to 26 mpg).
Reliability & durability
In general, the car is very reliable and durable as long as it is maintained properly, however when something does go wrong it can be VERY expensive to repair.
