I love my 07 BMW 750I, when it works, there is nothing like it in the world. Great to drive, luxurious, quiet, solid, and absolutely stunning to behold. Unfortunately beneath all that beauty are a bunch of substandard parts that break or leak way too often costing thousands of dollars to repair.
Exterior styling
Beautiful car, looks great from every angle and appears very well made.
Interior styling
Absolute luxury, best seats, interior, stereo, control layout, and whisper quiet interior of any car I've ever driven. World Class Craftsmanship and beautiful to behold.
Handling
Doesn't feel like a very heavy large car. Drives like a small, lightweight car, nimble, sporty and fun to drive. You never get tired of being behind the wheel and I find myself looking for excuses to take this car for a drive.
Safety & braking
One of the safest cars on the planet. The abundance of high strength steel and comprehensive safety cage is very tough. World class brakes stop this car on a dime. Air bags everywhere just in case the worst should happen, and outstanding scores on every type of crash test out there.
Ride smoothness
Effortless to drive, absolutely smooth and composed at all times. Racy if you want it to be and plush all the rest of the time. I never get tired of driving this car!
Reliability & durability
BMW makes the absolute worst rubber seals, gaskets, and o-rings and interior kick panels of any premium car maker in the world. More than $5,000 worth of work needed in less than 100k miles just to fix every little oil leak, coolant leak, cracked rubber gasket, seal or scratched piece of interior trim. They could learn a lot from Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, or any Domestic Brand about what types of gaskets and rubber to use that don't fall apart after just a few years of service.
Powertrain performance
The BMW engines are works of art and run like nothing else out there. Unfortunately the cooling systems, and every external seal and gasket on the engine leak or fail well before 100k miles. If you like a spotless driveway be prepared to pay a lot for seal replacement or don't buy a BMW.
Audio & nav systems
Navigation Computer DVD player failure and in dash CD changer failure in less than 100k miles just shouldn't happen on an $80,000 car.
