2012 BMW X5 Pros and Cons castellan The diesel X5 is powerful and sure-footed. Heavy, which shows up in both a feeling of safety while driving, and a sticker shock at the fuel pump. The transmission is ok, except when cold, when it's a little unwilling to up-shift. Similarly, if it's even a little cool, it... |

2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh With the redesign, a 340-horsepower supercharged 3.0-liter V6 has replaced the first-generation Range Rover Sport's 375-horsepower 5.0-liter V8. The lost 35 horses aren't missed, especially with the vehicle's curb weight reduced by over 700 pounds. I found the new engine easily quick enough. For those who want their large SUV... 2014 BMW X5 Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh I've found the performance of the 300-horsepower xDrive35i (tested in the previous generation) well beyond adequate. I similarly found the 340-horsepower Range Rover Sport HSE to be satisfyingly quick. But if you want your tall, wide, two-and-a-half-ton conveyance to be brutally quick, then step up to a V8. Doc in Missouri 2011 BMW X5 Pros and Cons Member2520 Diesel is outstanding once you understand the "nuances" such as some turbo lag and different sound. It is very quiet at highway speeds and pulls my 4000lbs. boat and trailer with ease. Mileage is good (19 city, up to 27 highway) with about a 25% reduction while towing. |

2006 BMW X5 Pros and Cons Member5416 While I wish the 3.0L i6 had 50 more ft-lbs of torque, it does fine even in the thinner air of Colorado. The AWD system is amazing in the winter, and combined with traction and stability control, makes the X5 a very safe vehicle. |

2008 BMW X5 Pros and Cons Member3335 The powertrain feels very competent as well as responsive. The engine is competent and transitions very well when challenged on hills and any incline. Acceleration for the 6 is about normal in response time as it is truly pushing a lot of weight. |

2002 BMW X5 Pros and Cons Member2272 More than enough power. Maybe too much. The truck/SAV/SUV performs like a sports car. Zero body roll, instant power to the wheels. Quiet but firm ride, that can be a little harsh. |
